Checked October 22, 2026, against Sanrio’s official character profile.
Cinnamoroll is a dog. Sanrio’s profile calls him a white boy puppy. Those long ears make “bunny” an easy first guess, but in his story the ears have a different job.
Ears for flying, tail for the name
According to Sanrio’s profile, he flies by flapping his ears, and a café owner named him Cinnamon because his curled tail looked like a cinnamon roll.
That gives you an easy way to keep him straight: ears for flying, tail for the name. Neither feature makes him a rabbit.
Cinnamon or Cinnamoroll?
You’ll see both, and they aren’t two different characters. In the profile’s story the puppy is called Cinnamon, while Cinnamoroll is the name of the character brand. If you’re looking for official information, searching both names helps.
